At a Washington political conference Tuesday, all the talk was about Texas and Ohio.

"This is sort of late in the game and this is now becoming the decisive contest," said Michael Weiss, a political blogger.

Across town, Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has been getting a lot of questions about his home state. He's predicting nothing and won't say he voted for, only that he's proud to see Ohio getting the primary election attention.

"We knew that Columbus and the state would matter in November, we just didn’t know we’d matter this early, Brown said.

Back at the conference, political watchers said they'd be watching returns as soon as their sessions let out this evening. Some predicted a tough night for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.

"Conventional wisdom here is it’s a forgone conclusion, that she’s out, and it’s just a matter of how long she sort of hangs on to the chew toy of this contest," Weiss said.

But it's not just Democrats waiting to watch tonight. Republicans, like Andy Greene, of Gahanna, Ohio say the returns are must-see TV.

“I’m a Republican, but I’ll be interested to see who we’re facing in November," Greene said.
