Sunday's Richmond Times-Dispatch will feature yours truly in "Meet the T-D" section. But you can get a sneak-preview of the bio piece right here.
How would you describe your job? My job is to cover the most important news, issues, events, people and politics in Washington for The Richmond Times-Dispatch and eight other Virginia newspapers and their Web sites.
I also report for four TV stations owned by Media General: WSLS in Roanoke, Va., WJHL in Johnson City, Tenn., and two stations in Providence, R.I. and Columbus, Ohio.
First and foremost, I’m meeting the Virginia congressional delegation and reading up on the issues important to our communities.
The whole bureau is blogging the presidential campaign through our “Herd on the Trail” blog at mgwashington.com.
I intend to break political and investigative news in Washington and always keep you connected to what your government officials are doing with their time and your money here.
With a fun and experienced team of coworkers, I’m excited to use the different advantages of print and online writing, video, and audio slideshows to tell stories in the format that most fits the subject.
What is the most interesting part of your job? Meeting people, hands down. I love making new contacts, learning new issues and sharing knowledge. Journalism is the closest thing I’ve found to a career that really is an extension of a hobby.
