Singing espousal

Does pronouncer Jacques Bailly sing words to contestants?

Apparently not.

But Marie Mach tried to get him to.

Her word: espousal.

After asking him to repeat it, she asked, “Can you use it in a song?”

The crowd laughed, but Bailly declined to sing.

But maybe he should have sung it to her. Marie spelled it "espowsel."
