The day after Sen. Barack Obama clinched the votes needed to win the Democratic presidential nomination, Hispanic Clinton-backers were up in arms that he needed to put her on the ticket right away, that the 2-to-1 margin by which Clinton won among Hispanics in the primary was evidence Obama would never attract this key swing vote. Well, Gallup's latest polling suggests that has not happened at all.

Despite Sen. John McCain's military record, connection to the Southwest, and compromise stance on immigration, Hispanics still favor Obama.
