Former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner will have a prominent role at this month's Democratic convention in Denver.
Warner, now a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, will deliver the convention's keynote address on Tuesday night, August 26.
That's the same night that Sen. Hillary Clinton is scheduled to speak.
Four years ago -- at the last Democratic National Convention -- Barack Obama delivered the keynote address. Back then he was a state senator in Illinois with minimal competition in his successful U.S. senate bid.
Warner's campaign said he plans to keep a diary of his time in Denver as well.
